A song a week – Tiny Dancer, by Elton John

I thought I’d struggle to memorize this song, but it actually came easily. I bought a $3.99 bottle of red wine and caged up in my room to learn the song by ear, which I rarely do now that the Internet so handy. It’s amazing how much more you retain that way. Here’s the jam:

The camera quality is bad, but the white-porcelain-cat piggy bank in the background is awesome. That’s where I keep my monthly earnings. Next week I’ll learn Hallelujah, Jeff Buckley’s version. I’ve played it before, but I’ve never been able to memorize it and pull it out around a campfire.

Thanks man. Yeah, I was pretty nervous to get it going, which is why I kept it low key, just until I was able to build a habit of it. I’m there though, and it’s pretty satisfying. Glad you enjoy.
