A song a week – Hallelujah, by Jeff Buckley

I just did a Google search of the most-covered songs of all time. I was blown away to find that this Leonard Cohen song is not on the list. I’m most familiar with the Jeff Buckley version. Younger fans are probably more familiar with the (less soulful) version from Shrek.

Regardless, it’s a beautiful song. I’m happy to have banked it in my memory.

Next week I will learn Carolina in my Mind, by James Taylor. Per my fiance’s request. After that, I’ll dive into some more upbeat stuff. I promise it.
